Requirements for issuance of new passports to adopted Russian children

In accordance with the Russian legislation expired Russian passports can not be extended. Once expired a new passport must be obtained. An adopted child must be registered with the Consulate General. To obtain a new Russian passport adopted parents should submit to the Consulate General in person the following documents:
 

• • application form for a new Russian passport;
• • russian passport of the adopted child;
• • copy of the main page of the Russian passport;
• • foreign passport of the adopted child;
• • copy of the main page of the foreign passport;
• • two identical passport size pictures of the child;
• • one identical passport size picture of a parent.

Requirements for issuance of new passports to adopted Russian children (lost passport)

To obtain a new Russian passport adopted parents should submit to the Consulate General the following documents:
 

• • police report;
• • application form for a new Russian passport;
• • two identical passport size pictures of the child;
• • one identical passport size picture of the mother;
• • foreign passport of the adopted child;
• • copy of the main page of the foreign passport.
